Here’s a beautiful bird, a dark morph red-tailed hawk.

For what it’s worth, I believe the dark eyes and all-over-dark body coloring identify this hawk as the Red-tail subspecies known as “Harlan’s Hawk” (Buteo jamaicensis harlani).
Beautiful bird.
