The researchers figured out where to look for an intermediate fossil between fish and amphibians, spent a lot of quality time on Ellesmere Island, Canada, and found this fossil fish with just the sort of mosaic of characters that drives antievolution advocates batty.<\/p>\n<p>And now for something different from the technical illustrations PZ Myers has over at Pharyngula&#8230; Ray Troll, the illustrator, has been working with the researchers and has his own unique vision of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trollart.com\/\"><i>Tiktaalik<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s a stunning new fossil find that was reported in Nature and discussed on Panda&#8217;s Thumb and Pharyngula.
