Verizon FIOS Continues to Not Talk to Verizon FIOS
I have two new trouble tickets with Verizon FIOS as the connectivity situation continues to be nearly completely non-functional, as it has been since January 10th. The one entered from the Verizon Business FIOS side of things is TXP08R8CY. During the hour-and-a-half tech support conference call needed to get that one going, I happened to inquire about my previously-entered trouble tickets, and was told that they had been closed. Since the problem continues, I insisted that the tech set one up for my residential FIOS account, too. That one is FLCP08R8EN.
If you are a Verizon customer and have difficulty getting through to this site or other sites I run, be sure to reference the above tickets when you put your complaint in. Thanks.

What region do you have FIOS in? That seems to make a difference. I’ve had reports of affected accounts in Dallas and Tampa regions so far.

I can access your site, I’m in North Texas. Verizon support seems to be stovepipes, no access to each others data. I remember when we initially switched to FIOS, it was a nightmare. Most of it was due to our old GTE account being grandfathered in but Verizon DSL support didn’t talk to or know anything about Verizon FIOS support. Somehow we finally found a tech that was familiar with both billing and tech systems and was able to guide us through. I didn’t want to hang up while we were working because their trouble ticket system seemed to lose information or else not updated properly. Good luck. I really like FIOS but not when I have problems.

Verizon FIOS in eastern MA between Worcester and Boston: Couldn’t load. Router is configured to use Google public DNS.
I was able to get some access to other static pages from your domain, e.g. /falconry.html & /rusty.html. Perhaps they were served from a Verizon cache? In any case, the connections that did work seemed slow.

Hooray! Tech support is now convinced that *they* have a problem.

Obviously their trouble ticket system needs a trouble ticket as well. Oh well, at least you’re getting some support now.
