I’m reminded of one of my favorite comments from the late Bill Hicks, when confronted by hostile Christians in Texas after a show: “Hey, buddy, we’re Christians and we didn’t like what you said about us in there!” “Okay, then, forgive me.” :)

The same vehicles were also targeted with Christian evangelical literature (at different times, not together with the nails).

Note that a University of Florida PR spokesperson has commented (without identifying herself as such) on the Fla Citizens for Science blog denying that the campus cops had received any reports of this vandalism. (The parking lot in question is very close to UF PD HQ.)

The “sweep all dirt under the carpet” mentality thrives at UF administration (search online for “Kofi Adu-Brempong” and “don’t tase me, bro!” for much more extreme examples).
