Uh, "island", neither Rob Crowther nor I were talking about "academic freedom" bills. The point at issue now in Texas is the science curriculum. Do try to keep up.

I hate to tell you this, Wes, but it doesn't matter what creationists try to pull, since these "academic freedom" laws are separation laws that work in conjunction with the science standards, and are typically worded to strictly prohibit the teaching of religion, creationism, "creation science", "creation facts", and ID.

So proponents of evolutionary theory are reacting only to their paranoia of what they think that creationists will do, rather than what the actually can do within the bounds of their own laws.

Will some whacky creationists try it anyway?... sure, and they will be in violation of their own law, so what?... THAT'S HOW SEPARATION LAWS WORK.

You act like the DI hasn't learned anything, hasn't changed tactics, hasn't honed their attack to preclude any violation of the law so that they might ask some highly pointed questions ***like*** dumbed-downed versions the ones found on my very incomplete list of valid scientific reasons why creationists should be able to ask questions that would get them in trouble if they did without the protect of these laws:
