IDC: Guillermo Gonzalez Tenure Decision Appeal Fails

It is a small news item, but astronomer and Discovery Institute Senior Fellow Guillermo Gonzalez had an appeal before the Iowa State Board of Regents asking them to overturn Iowa State University’s decision not to grant him tenure. The vote came down 7-1 confirming Iowa State’s decision.

Doubtless the editors of the “Expelled” movie will now be hard at work to include some mention of this in the upcoming film. It may even be that some of the children frog-marched to theaters on “mandatory field trips” from their private Christian schools (whose administrators buy into the whole kickback thing) will care.

Wes – I hope that their plan back-fires. My thinking is that because Ben Stein is rather high on the “Creepiness Scale”, the kids that are going to be bussed to see the movie will not be all that sympathetic to him and his Examples Of The Expelled like Sternberger and Gonzalez.

I have not seen any trailers, BUT can a Docu-Drama like this generate the kind of excitement that kids like and that the producers are looking to generate?
