I'm not sure where FtK got the notion that I would blast her for leaving her moderation queue alone for eleven hours or more at a whack, so that "hypocrisy" comment looks particularly odd. Nor did I say that my home life was more important than her home life. My earlier comment specifically validated her time away from the computer as being a good thing. I did say that my work and my home life was more important than seeing to it that her comment got serviced on some schedule she sets. My reading comprehension, perhaps, is then a bit better, but not the home life thing.

Over at Mike's blog, FtK is peddling the new DI line in dealing with the fact that they've been pushing pernicious falsehoods to the public and a variety of politically targeted governmental bodies for lo these many years. The DI is not taking any responsibility for having gotten things so basically wrong. Their fundamental attitude seems to be, 'It doesn't matter if our understanding of biology isn't worth a damn; our base will still love us and hate you anyway.' For FtK at least that seems to be a winning strategy.

So, will the antievolution movement's vilification of Kettlewell and Kettlewell's eventual vindication be any part of the Ben Stein "Expelled" movie? I don't think so.

What's there to say? Like I said, I'd be blasted for not putting a comment through moderation after 11 hours. Regardless of whether you believe your work and family to be more pressing or important than mine...I have a life as well. Some comments wait a while in moderation and some never see the light of day if they are from those who wish to treat me like dirt. It's the hypocrisy that gets me.

Sure, I saw Mike's response. So what? I didn't see much of interest in it, and I addressed my issues there.

I'll leave you back to your busy schedule.

Glad to see you are reading here. I notice, though, that you haven't yet said anything about the unkind comments of your own directed at me concerning my schedule for moderating here despite my providing the information about what was up yesterday.

But I hope that you do follow the link to Mike Dunford's takedown of Wells.

I've shut my blog down for the time being, luv. It hasn't been up and running for a few weeks now. I'm working on something to save me time when bombarded by my lovely little trolls that seem to find their way from your site to mine on an hourly basis. I felt it necessary to completely shut down in order to concentrate on that endeavor, reflect, and regroup.

After a year of blogging I needed a break from the sheer nastiness of many of the comments that I receive...many that certainly never see the light of day. See, I have no problem with banning and moderating as it is quite necessary, but I do have a problem with hypocrisy. I don't see much difference between your approach to moderation/banning and mine. You use these functions in the same manner that I do.

So, not to worry, you'll have full access to my blog soon.

Since FtK wandered into my weblog, I thought I might wander into hers. But I got this response back,

It doesn't look like you have been invited to read this blog. If you think this is a mistake, you might want to contact the blog author and request an invitation.

I'm sure that's just an oversight that FtK will correct the next time she's at her keyboard. I won't complain if that doesn't happen until after the Labor Day holidays; there are more important things than computers around.

Thanks for the link to Wells's tripe. Saves me having to type it in myself. That's a truly astounding job of spinning being shown to be in error on a wide range of facts that Wells has there.

As for the delay in moderating, I do have a life away from the keyboard. Today involved a bunch of debugging routines on the robots with a colleague from the DevoLab, followed very shortly by agility lessons with Ritka. If FtK thinks her ephemeral prose deserves more attention than Ritka, she needs to think again.
