Cetacean Intelligence Essay on PLoS Biology

My colleague Lori Marino and a who’s-who of cetacean behavior experts
have published an
essay on cetacean intelligence
in PLoS Biology.

They take up Paul Manger’s claims that cetacean brains grew simply for
heat regulation reasons and explain why Manger’s idea does not fit the
facts.
