Frank, insightful point. This should be used more in discussions on Evolution. Many people are "anti" evolution, because it does not line up with their ideology or what they have been taught in church. But DENIAL hits home the point that even though someone may not like the implications of evolution, they cannot deny it. There is far too much evidence for it. More importantly, in our christian faith communities, it evokes Paul "denying Christ" (it's bad to deny). It also forces the person to ask how they reconcile what they believe or have been taught and possibly move them rationally to a more reasoned location with Evolution.

Nice and succinct. may I suggest that, if you use this in the future, you do a global search-and-replace of "antievolution" with "Evolution Denial"?

This is a PR war and language, as the IDistas know, counts more than anything else. The term "Evolution Denial" more completely encapsulates both the motives and tactics of their movement while loosely evoking it's methodological similarity to familiar movements in other fields of inquiry.

<strong>Script of SMU Presentation</strong>

The following is my script for the fifteen minute presentation I gave at the SMU debate on April 25th. I hope to do some more with this, but I need to check with the organizers to make sure I won't step on any toes, if they plan to sell audio or video...
