Thanks, Derrel...

I'd love to arrange to get that custom tone curve from you. Drop me an email at welsberr at austringer dot net if you would. I hope to continue to read the Fuji forum; I'm thinking that if things go well, it would be nice to get a Fuji S5 as a backup camera body.

I am liking the D2Xs so far. The SB-800 with it does a great job of balanced fill from my little experience with it, certainly easier than any previous camera and flash combination that I have owned.

Wesley,
Congrats on the new D2Xs and 17-50 Tamron--I hope both work wonderfully for you. There's room to upload three custom curves to the D2Xs,and there's one curve I have that gives a pretty good out of camera JPEG,with well-placed highlights, snappy midtones, and decent shadow detail. It makes the D2x that I use more like the Fuji S2 Pro.
Hope things are going great, and I wish you the best of light. I miss seeing your erudite posts in FujiFIlm SLR Talk. So sorry to hear about your stolen S2. I've been burglarized myself, and have had precious equipment stolen. Well, again, congrats and best of light and luck!
